Located along the Loire River near Tours, wines from this area, white for the
majority, are from the Chenin grape. The natural smoothness of Chenin offers a wide choice of food matched with this semi-dry style.
Catherine Champalou was born in Vouvray. The Champalou family farms 50 acres of vineyards using sustainable farming practices in order to allow the natural expression of the grapes.
The Fondraux vineyard is composed of limestone providing wines that express mineral components with peach and pear aromas, honey and butter flavors with a balance of sweetness and acidity. The wine is vinified in neutral barrels.
