Lili Chandler was born and raised in Athens. Like most young people, she was anxious to leave her hometown and strike out on her own. For several years she lived in Palm Beach and Raleigh, gaining experience in the corporate world that would serve her well when she returned to Athens and became a small business owner.

Lili has always been a wine lover, but as director of operations for all Athens‘ Happy Cat stores, she was able to build on her knowledge of wine and craft beer. When the opportunity came along to purchase the historic building that has been Athens‘ premier carryout for over 50 years, Lili seized the chance to combine her passion and expertise, and BellaVino was born!

Three years later, BellaVino continues to expand its offerings with regular wine tastings, the largest selection of craft, import and domestic beers and import, domestic & by far organic wines in Southeast Ohio, and wine accessories. Lili recently completed the requirements of membership for the internationally acclaimed Guild of Master Sommeliers, but her central focus remains unchanged: to make the wine world accessible and enjoyable for all Athenians!
